Drumsong – Beyond the Edge with Ubaka Hill
Toning the OM™ Drumming Spirit Weekend with Mary Anne Flanagan
Ubaka Hill will lead an experiential intensive journey that explores the impact and relationship of sound frequencies on our energetic states of well-being and growth. We will deepen our awareness and knowledge of the transformative qualities of intentional drumming and chanting/singing and sounding.
Explore deep listening, overtones, harmonics, and un-struck sound. We will explore ways to integrate the drum, rattles, and other sounding forms for transformative healing of ones self and community. We will learn ways to raise, hold, and direct sound frequencies to revitalize and inspire health and balance of ones whole being.
We will also explore topics such as the principals of vibrational healing, intuitive drumming/sounding and the relationship of sound and vibration to the natural world. All drums, rattles, singing bowls, and melodic instruments are welcome. ©Ubaka Hill

Summer Solstice Fire Ceremony
Facilitated by: Mary Anne Flanagan, Val Lordi, and other Teachers
Celebrate the summer solstice in ceremony and rhythm. "Solstice" is derived from two Latin words: "sol" meaning sun, and "sistere," to cause to stand still. This is because, as the summer solstice approaches, the noonday sun rises higher and higher in the sky on each successive day.
During the Summer Solstice, the Sun and the Earth align in order to allow all growing things to come into their fullness. Using songs, drums, and rattles, we will celebrate each other with a fire for all of our blessings.
Date: Friday, 6/20/08
Time: Fire Building at 6:00PM - Fire Ceremony: 6:30PM
Love Donation: ($5 - $20) No registration required – all are welcome.
Location: The Oaks, 590 Davenport Avenue, New Rochelle , NY

100 Drums for Peace – St. Croix, VI
November 2008
St. Croix, Virgin Islands
Facilitated by: Mary Anne Flanagan
100 Drums for Peace is intended to create a circle of world rhythms for peace. The rhythm of the drum helps activate the natural rhythm of our bodies. The blending of rhythmic patterns stimulates our natural heart beat. We will spend time listening, playing, and creating rhythms that match our inner and experiences of life. We will connect with our hands and hearts and release excess energy. The session also includes the creation of a Tree of Peace. Participants will create a community vision of non-violence. By the end of the workshop, everyone will create personal rhythmic patterns and movements that describe a world of safety and human dignity.

Shamanic Healing Session
Guided by: Mary Anne Flanagan
Shamanic healing sessions are ancient practices which allow a person to reestablish themselves as a conscious, awakened, and sacred being in relation to all of the Earth’s beauty. It’s a deepening of your spirit and soul to all of the seen and unseen parts of yourself. Through drumming, heart journeying, deep breath work, healing touch, connecting with spirit guides, and removing blocked energies, one can ‘unroot’ parts of themselves that desire healing. Sessions are opportunities to recover original grace and beauty, change toxic life patterns and retrieve innate gifts back into the world.
Cost: $100.00/60 minutes & $150/90 minutes
Individual arrangements can be made for those with financial difficulties.
